Remember waaaaaaaaay back in May when some coppers chased me out off the PUBLIC property near some railroad tracks? Well, tout le monde, I feel like I just HAD to be kicked out of something one last time before I left town and now, thankfully, I can cross that goal off of my before-I-move-to-another-continent bucket list! I've done a few shoots over the last 10 days or so in a parking lot where, for pretty much my entire life, there have been buses parked. The bus company moved to another location and now the lot, maintenance facility, and offices have been left with gates and doors unlocked without a single "NO TRESSPASSING" sign anywhere to be seen. I've adopted this lot as my new photoshoot playground and did my "Day and night..." shoot and the "Out with the old..." shoot in the empty shed on the property a few days ago.
Today, I had the worst luck. Since I've lived where I live off and on for almost my entire lifetime, I've ended up working as a tutor/nanny/etc. for a number of families and since this is my last week here, these families have been asking me to work more than usual so the kiddos and I get to spend as much time as possible together. Today, I had to pick a little friend up from camp and drive him around and, I swear I am cursed by railroads, because this lot is adjacent to train tracks that just so happened to be under construction. As I drove into the lot, I noticed police cars directing traffic around the tracks and one of the officers must have spotted me turning into this abandoned property because it wasn't long before the flashing lights came to investigate... but not before I managed to crank out a full mini-photoshoot!
... I swear... I was just standing in the parking lot! I think the cops in this town must need more to do! T-3 days until I become an expat!
